Desert your plate Moroccan style!

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication said Leonardo da Vinci and I could not agree more. The picture above was taken in Morocco and it was indeed an ultimate treat after a rich moroccan lunch.  Now, in mids of dark, cold days of the winter orange fruits taste best. Move your senses into the summer with this vibrant, bright and beautifully simple dessert.

You will need:

oranges (eg. one per person),

ground cinnamon,

runny honey,

garnish of your choice : seasonal fruits, almonds, mint etc.


Peel the oranges and removed the pith. Slice the oranges into rings, about 1/4 inch thick.

Arrange the orange slices on individual plates or a serving platter drizzle with the honey. Generously sprinkle the slices with cinnamon, garnish with mint, almonds or red fruits of your choice and serve immediately.
