Caprese salad is so popular and gloriously simple that you may think how on earth I’m going to make any difference. Well, yes, I did it purely for fun.
Remember that caprese is all about finest ingredients so use the best you possibly can and enjoy.
650 g of tomatoes
250 g mini mozzarella balls
basil leaves
Nigella seeds
olive oil
Method:
Drop the tomato into the bowl of boiling water. Remove them after 30 seconds or when the skin begins to peel and put them into the bowl of ice water. Peel the skin off and then cut roughly into small pieces.
Place tomatoes on the sieve over the sink or salad bowl. Sprinkle with salt and leave for about 30 min, shaking time to time- by doing that we aiming to remove as much juice as possible.
After 30 min place tomatoes in a blender and purée until smooth.
Arrange your puree on the plate into desired shape using pastry pipe or spoon. Place the mozzarella balls on top and sprinkle with olive oil and nigella seeds.
Voila!
